VascuFlo’s Mission & Vision Statement.

VascuFlo, Inc. was established in 2001 by Aaron Hirsch, RPh. under the Medical Direction of Dr. Michael E. Merhige and Dr. Leon Levinsky. EECP treatment was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of angina pectoris in 1995 and for the treatment of congestive heart failure in 2002. Currently there are over 1000 EECP treatment centers nationally and many others worldwide. VascuFlo was the first EECP center to treat patients in Western New York.

VascuFlo is the forerunner in providing EECP treatment within the setting of 4 private practices in Western New York, Niagara Falls and Irving.

With great anticipation we look forward to other physicians and medical groups offering EECP treatment to the patients of Western New York to provide all of those in need.

Angina is often described as discomfort in the chest, jaw, shoulder, back, or arm. These symptoms of angina are most commonly caused by ischemic or narrowed arteries leading to a decreased blood and oxygen supply to areas of the heart.

Congestive Heart failure is a disorder where the heart loses its ability to pump blood efficiently. The result is that the body doesn’t get as much oxygen and nutrients as it needs, leading to problems like fatigue and shortness of breath. Heart failure is almost always a chronic, long-term condition that is managed with medications and lifestyle changes. (Although it can sometimes develop suddenly.) The most common causes for heart failure are hypertension and coronary artery disease.

It is our mission to give patients who suffer from either of these conditions an opportunity to once again live their lives to the fullest.
